Forth Valley Top Toes welcomes new volunteers to provide a friendly but professional service for our clients. We offer training, supervision and travel expenses. You can dip a toe into volunteering with the following volunteer opportunities.
Personal Footcare Volunteer
Personal Footcare Volunteers will be trained in partnership with NHS Forth Valley Podiatry service to perform basic toenail cutting, carry out a foot care check and give footwear advice. Training will be through formal training and a period of shadowing by an NHS podiatrist. Volunteers receive an NHS training certificate as confirmation of competency. A PVG check is required for this opportunity.
Meet and Greet Volunteer
This is an opportunity to provide a friendly face to meet and greet clients for a necessary and valued service. Our volunteers will welcome the clients, check and complete paperwork ,receive and record cash donations, arrange return appointments, then show the client through to the Personal Footcare Volunteer.
Telephone Triage Volunteer
This is an opportunity to provide a Telephone triage service for potential clients. You will be based in our office in Callendar Business Park. The telephone triage volunteer will receive a list of clients who have shown interest in registering with Forth Valley Top Toes and will run through exclusion questions to assess their suitability for the service along with any other general office tasks required. This will be done under the supervision of the Volunteer Coordinator who will be the main point of contact.

This is an opportunity for a car driver. The leaflet volunteer is required to travel within Falkirk district to ensure all promotional sites have enough promotional material.
