As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, all Forth Valley Top Toes clinics were postponed from Friday 20th March 2020.
We are now able to begin reopening clinics – our team are working to contact all registered clients. In the meantime, our friendly volunteers may ring you from time to time to update you on the current status and keep in touch.
We are still taking registrations for new clients. If you would like to register for the service, please contact us by phone: 07717677549, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Forth Valley Top Toes provides a personal toenail clipping service to elderly and disabled people who have no underlying medical conditions but are unable to cut their own toenails and struggle to afford private podiatry.
Our clients receive toenail clipping every 6-10 weeks and are given a basic foot care check by an NHS Trained Personal Foot Care Volunteer.
We only offer basic nail clipping, we cannot treat corns, bunions, or ingrowing toenails and you cannot be taking long term steroid tablets, immunosuppressive or chemotherapy treatments.
If you have, or are taking, any of these we would suggest that you seek advice from your GP, pharmacist or private podiatrist.
All our Personal Foot Care Volunteers have been trained by NHS Forth Valley podiatry team and have learned the skills to carry out basic foot assessments, nail clipping, filing and give foot care advice.
Each appointment costs £15.00. A clipper set is given to each client at their first appointment and the client must bring this with them to each appointment.
